I am like the Garden ,
There will always be flowers and birds in my garden,

You are like the Desert,
There will always be heat and sand in the desert.

The flowers and the Birds,
that i lovingly send from my garden,
all the way to your desert,
loaded with my loving messages,
they reach there,
But they singe in the heat of your desert,
And then they die.

I now see no use,
for sending you dead flowers and dead birds,
so,
I have to close the gates of my garden,
and,
I will never let my birds ,
out into your desert.
I now have to close the gates of my garden.

Apologies

In the tenth months that i knew you and the many times that i asked you TO ASK ME for an apology,
This was the first time that you CLEARLY AND OPENLY ASKED ME FOR AN APOLOGY..
So I am going to forgive you.

I sat there in the darkness,
in the living room,
Lit only by the light of the laptop screen,
And the television screen,
I stared at my Inbox ,
And there was his name,
And suddenly I mumbled to myself,
"this will be the last time;
I will see your name in this inbox,
It is over forever"
Then I proceeded to suddenly ,
Touch the screen of the computer,
The place on it over your name,
I touched it ,
And then a gentle tear,
And then i reached over,
And kissed that name on the screen,
And then told myself,
"This will probably be the last time.
I will see your name in my inbox"
Then I wrote this poem,
Then tears spattered all over my keyboard,
IT IS OVER..
And I have no idea, why I am crying.

Good days, Bad days

There are good days, there are bad days, there are good people , there are bad people..No need to sit and analyze why someone that respected and wrote emotional letters to you at one point suddenly turns around and starts becoming vicious to you.
That is life..seasons changes, days change, I change, they change..
So, just let the change happen and just move on ...

How to make geeky earrings from paper clips-step by step pictures

First off,
This blog entry is dedicated to one of my twitter friends called @n#####d aka G####A.
She is one cute geek and a nerdy one at that.
She totally wanted to see the earrings when I told her the other day that  I made my own earrings

As is usual  with many of my instructional blog entries, the story will be interspersed amongst the step by step pictures of how to make the earrings/

This blog is also dedicated to @ne###d for another reason.On the first day that we both met on twitter, she had just posted a picture of her wearing GEEKY BUTTERFLY EARRINGS..While I was making these earrings, I was suddenly reminded of her butterfly earrings

The simple earrings that i made are no where near as COOL as the butterfly earrings..But, hey,,My earrings take only five minutes to make from start to finish

The inspiration struck me when I was kneading bread dough.ya, ya,I make my own vegan bread.Go here

.So, yeah.i was kneading dough and My eyes fell up some Yellow paper clips lying on the counter and suddenly, I was like, "hey, I can make earrings with these!!!"

 

 I had recently cut open a too tight bead necklace  and i had two blue beads amongst the bunch of other wooden beads.I like bead art and just couldn't resist using them for making these earrings .

You could use any other kind of beads or 

make your own beads by

making small clay balls, 

poking holes in them right through with a pin, 

drying them in the sun 

and then painting them

This blog entry can serve as a mini art project for kids aged 8-12..CHILDREN BELOW THE AGE OF 8 are forbidden from trying to make this on their own or wearing such earrings coz i fear they might POKE THEMSELVES while making or wearing them.    

 

So yeah, anyone above the age of 12 is more than welcome to try making them for fun.I am a 31 year old doc..so, it is fair game.it is all in fun.And it takes just five min to make

If you look closely at my thumb in the pictures..you can see some dough still sticking to my thumb..I was just in a hurry to make the earrings and then get back to baking that i didn't wash my hands all that clean.

 

what type of paper clips to choose?

I chose these paper clips which have metal wires encased in colored plastic.Please don't use pure metal clips .They might rust and cause allergic reactions to the ear .

Also, these earrings only work for pierced ears

 

Here is how the earrings look after making them

Please note that the stem end is supposed to be a wee bit longer then the hooked end.That way ,clasping that end inside the hook becomes possible

Also, please make sure that the hook is turned outwards to the right for the right earrring and the hook is turned outwards to the left for the left earring.

We don't want the hooked end towards the face.
