well, Jason just posted a blog entry on Procrastination and well, since I myself had been procrastinating on my blog entries the past 2 weeks, It touched a chord in me too and I left a comment for him there . As is usual , here is a copy of my comment.Here goes :

Hmmmmm.wow, You had soybean fields in your backyard? How do soybean fields look though.Any pics you can share? Being vegan now, soy gives me my iron and protein and what not.Would love to see pics of soybean fields.

Yeah, no use blaming planets or stars. Blaming anyone or anything is a sign of a loser. I blame a lot too when i lose out or don't fulfill my goals and i have learned that blame goes nowhere.

Wow, this blog was just plainly profound and scratched the surface of untouchable topics in my deeply buried psyche.

I think I am gonna repost this comment on my blog just to get me going and update all of my blogs which btw I haven't updated in the past 2 weeks.sheesh

In my opinion we all procrastinate as an escape from a painful place in our minds. As an escape from a lack of motivation. Ya know. or prolly lack of confidence.
Someone once sent me a note about how procrastination is all about perfectionism. Ya know, you keep postponing it coz you want to do a perfect job of it but then the pity part of it all is this perfect time never comes sometimes.
Anyways, jase, hugs to you ,blog more often will ya.Keeps me going.Even if it just airport pictures or silly touristy stories and such.

Looks like I have not really reviewed much on here since I first started this blog.
Today I am reviewing Lady GaGa's song POKER FACE and the associated video.
When i first caught a glimpse of this video on TV, I quickly flipped the channel coz ofcourse if a girl in swimwear comes out of the water and there is a dog beside her , It has got to be one of those Ho video dances( I don't use this term but this is what the Rappers seem to address these women as ) .
As a smart enterprising pretty woman I find it degrading that women are potrayed as powerless lardy butts shaking around while a few other mindless men sit there just plainly watching them like moronic kings and belting out pointless lyrics where they say how they are going to do all these Hos this way or that way. Seriously, Why are there not enough music videos that show women like they are .Where is the respect to a fellow human being? I am a woman and I am smart and I would find it very degrading to even watch these HO music videos. I want no part of this exploitation of women.No , sexuality is one thing but 'Ho videos' are another thing.

Anyways, So , the first time that i came across this music video I flipped the channel . The next time that I heard the song I was in the kitchen while the TV was blaring in the living room. So i just let it play out and was surprised that the tune was very unique and catchy.
Soon, I caught up with the tune so much that I would wait and watch the video each time It would come on tv.
Btw, The video of Lady Gaga -'poker face' is quite the opposite of the powerless-sex-toy-ho potrayal of women. Here in this video, our dear Lady Gaga is powerfully sexual. It is sexual alright but there is a strong dignity and power to it . Her demeanour is very confident.
Now, looks like Lady Gaga used to be a song writer for Britney and Pussycatdolls till of course Akon gave her a break. Truly, Akon did us all a favor. Coz of course, she truly is talented.
This song , I actually just went and checked out the lyrics too because I am already too enamored by the tune and the video and what not. The lyrics are not quite bad either. That seals the deal for me. She gets my seal of approval.
The lyrics btw are about how this girl keeps up a poker face to get a guy and then of course she is gonna take advantage or some such.

The thing is, I think she sets the melody herself too. Which is great. I have no respect for singers who make others write songs for them and then others set tunes too and all they do is kinda lip sync amidst synthesizers.
Lady gaga is different, she sings, she writes and she composes too .
You must listen to 'Poker face' to understand what I mean. It is unique, and original in so many ways. Yeah, there is a point in the song where she goes into fergie mode and sings like fergie , but then there are other places in the song where she is just herself. Speaking of the video, looks like, the guy who was to shoot the video initially complained that she might be too fat for the swimsuit or some such. Well, when you look at the video you kinda are baffled at how she can effectively bring back fat thighs into fashion. Btw, the choreography kinda reminded me of Pussy cat dolls and their doll domination moves. Whoever directed the pussy cat dolls to do the "roll the shoulder while stomping the foot " move has also made, lady Gaga do the same move. This particular step kinda works it up with the raw sexuality. I am a heterosexual woman and yet , If this move can work me up this way , Imagine how much more the heterosexual guys must have gotten worked up by these raw moves? Thankfully for me, there was a pretty boy in underwear somewhere in the video. If at all people have to be stripped, let both genders be stripped equally. LOL


so, yeah, Poker face is fun to hear and fun to sing along and dance to . The video is sexual but not cheaply so. watch it and tell me what you think.
Lady gaga is anyways gonna go far if she keeps us with this talent of hers.Cheers

Shampoo so sweet smelling you want to eat it , scented erasers

Okay, Now,I know how much of care you have to take to keep children from randomly drinking up things from the bathroom.
Thankfully!I don't have any children.
Anyways,the reason why I am talking about the bathroom is coz I wanna talk about this shampoo.

Man ! I bought this nice bottle of shampoo that has apricot shell bits and other herbal bits in it ..
It smells so tasty and nice, I smelled it first before proceeding to wash my hair  with it and damn ! It was so smelling good ,like food, that I almost so wanted to eat it.

No, true!Shampoo should not smell of food.But hey,it was smelling of apricots and grapes and we are used to associating those smells with tasty food,no?

 I am a physician and if even after knowing all the details about poisons and stomach lavage and antidotes, I wanted to drink it because my senses were reacting to the heady food like smell of the shampoo. I mean, It just smelled so much like food that i wanted to chug some down.

Gosh. Imagine children smelling this stuff , Why would they not try drinking this good smelling stuff? Huh?I have literally seen kids trying to swallow soap and toothpaste coz they smell of mint and bubblegum.No,really!

Speaking of inedible stuff smelling of food these days,I have another childhood story for you all.

When I was a kid, they used to make these sweet smelling erasers. Some of them used to smell like strawberries and rasberries to the point of all kids attempting to chomp them down.

and then suddenly the stores stopped carrying these sweet smelling erasers. All of the erasers started smelling of bad stuff.

I guess, they brought out some ordinance or law banning the eraser makers from adding food-stuff-smells to erasers since many children obviously attempted chowing down the erasers and some of them got those erasers lodged in their throats and some such too.

 I haven't used an eraser for a long time  now except that putty that i use while I make charcoal sketches. Infact,I don't use the putty even.I just sketch without erasing(I am such a good sketcher!pats self on her back)

I have no idea how erasers smell these days. I mean, If i had a kid by now, I would have known.But well, No, No kids. Someone wants to chip in about the erasers scents these days?
